A warm sunny morning, blue skies with light white fluffy clouds, a gentle breeze, sitting half-way up a hillside. Such was the setting for our annual Ascension Day service in Peyia Forest.
Led by our Parish Priest, the Rev’d Nic, nearly 40 people attended an enjoyable and quite moving service. It was delightful to see people from all of our three churches, holiday visitors, along with Roger and Jan Gibson and her guide-dog Joey who is a familiar attender at St Luke’s.
Our new Director of Music, Jane Roberts, led the hymns on a violin, making a change from last year when the hymns were led by our Interim Chaplain’s wife, Penny Calder playing her flute. We hope to see even more people at this service next year, which is now a firm tradition in our worship calendar.
