On the occasion of the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul and in memory of the visit and preaching of the Apostles Barnabas and Paul in Paphos, a panegyric vesper was held on Wednesday 29th June, at “St. Paul’s Pillar” next to Ayia Kyriaki Church in Kato Paphos.
The vesper took place in the presence of His Beatitude, the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr Crysostomos, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Paphos Georgios and other Bishops. Our Associate Priest, the Reverend Canon Anthony Stidolph was invited to be present for this special occasion and represented the Anglican Church of Paphos.
At the end of the Vesper there was a procession with the icon of the Apostles Barnabas and Paul with the escort of a military squad and the police band.
